Craftalicious......

Today is Thursday & time for our first installment of Craftalicious. Every Thursday I will post a fun craft that I want to try this week. Today I am blogging from my mother in law's dinign room. We are getting ready to experiment & make home made pizzas. I gotta go help ;) but here is today's post & next Thursday I will post my photos of the project my way!

I want to make this fun chandelier......
It was found on the Ruffled blog & if you like crafts or wedding stuff it's a great blog to read. I love looking at all of the photography & craft ideas. Let me know if you try this craft & if it was as easy as they say it is!

Today is Tiffany's Birthday!!

Today is my best friend Tiffany's birthday. She turned 25 and Renee & I wanted to make it special. Tiffany is an amazing friend & she deserves the best sooooo........

Renee picked me up around 7 am & I got us lost in Portland for quite a while trying to find Voodoo Doughnuts. (If you have never been there you HAVE to go)

Then we went to Ross, Target & Safeway. We got her a purple snuggie, a bacon maple bar, a bouquet of balloons & a birthday crown.

We then drove to her work, yes with all of this stuff. 2 wrapped presents, 7 balloons & my camera. Oh yeah, Renee & I had on Happy Birthday party hats & party blowers!

So we surprised her at work & made her open her presents & she got to show off to all of the residents (she works at an assisted living). Then she showed us what one of the residents made/got her. She was hiding the most hideous sweater I have ever seen. So, of course, we made her wear it.....Here are our photos from the day.....

Happy Birthday Tiffany! You deserve the best & I couldn't ask for a better friend!

Nerdy Chick Tuesday

So Tuesdays are my book review days. I am so excited to share with you what I am reading at the time. The book I just finished was

Blood Work By Michael Connelly

The cover says....
In Blood Work, Connelly introduces a new character, Terry McCaleb, who was a top man at the FBI until a heart ailment forced his early retirement. Now he lives a quiet life, nursing his new heart and restoring the boat on which he lives in Los Angeles Harbor. Although he isn't looking for any excitement, when Graciela Rivers asks him to investigate her sister Gloria's death, her story hooks him immediately: the new heart beating in McCaleb's chest is Gloria's.

As McCaleb investigates the evidence in the case, the suspected randomness of the crime gives way to an unsettling suspicion of a twisted intelligence behind the murder. Soon McCaleb finds himself on the trail of a killer more horrifying than anything he ever encountered before.

This was such a good book! I love Michael Connelly's books & this one was no exception. I highly suggest it. I had no idea who the killer was until the very end.

Oh Snap!!!

Yes, I understand that technically I am a day behind. Yes, I know I am already behind schedule of blog posting. Please just forgive me! Anyways, I have no real blog followers now, so when you are reading this 3 years from now you will have forgiven me.......because I'll be a famous blogger & we all make mistakes, right?

So on to more important matters. Monday is Oh Snap day! I post my favorite photo I have taken in the past week. So here it is.....

My niece Maia & one of the freshest sister in laws EVER Sabrina. I took this photo on Sunday at church. They were dressed up for Christmas & looked so cute!

Attaining....

So....if you have read the many, many posts I have posted.....(ok like 3 posts actually) then you would know that I am working towards becoming a mega-famous, mega-followed blogger. In order to do that I figure I must write on my blog more than once a year!

I have decided on a plan! A certain type of post every day of the week. Well, Monday through Friday. Since today is Friday & it's already evening I am thinking I will start Monday. So be prepared.....Monday will be Oh Snap! day. I will let my millions of followers ponder that all weekend long!

Inspired

I was inspired to day by a blog I read. I have a few blogs that I read daily, such as  Dear Lizzy, a wonderful blog about her life as a wife, mom & scrapbooker. My other favorite is Joy's Hope. I also love A Beautiful Mess & Rachie's Place. I read these blogs almost everyday & get really bummed when they have nothing new. There are tons that I read frequently but I don't usually read the others everyday.

Anyways, I ran across a blog a while ago but it got pushed to the "once in a while" pile. Until today when I was washing my dishes & couldn't stop thinking about what a bad week Amy was having. I decided to read her blog from the beginning like a book which is what I usually do with the "everydays". I found out that her goal in creating a blog was to make a book to pass on to her children so they could remember all of the little things in life. At least thats my interpretation. So I have been inspired to do the same.

So first things first: A few nights ago, my family was getting home late from our church's firework tent & there were 5 slugs on our porch. The conversation went like this:

Me: I hate slugs!!!!
My son: Not me! I love slugs! They are so peaceful.
Me: WHAT?!?!
My son: Yeah, they are. They don't have drama like bears!

I promise you, true story!

So I am going to attempt daily blog postings.....maybe I will reach my "famous blogger with tons of followers" goal sooner that way!

Enjoy the journey with me
